I've been sitting here after reading... searching for something adequate. Those first 3 lines... and all I can say is

Yes.

Thank you.

Follows is an erotic Poem I wrote, Give it a home if you like in your Snuggery. I wrote it to an Adult Dating site prospect that I wooed unsuccessfully. I appreciated the line of this Poem you emailed to me. Hence; reciprocity.
AND I DID Enjoy the complete Poem....why crushed? "DEJA VU all over again." Micky Mantle

Let me hold tight your hips, as I fill your slit,
Let me kiss your lips and smell your hair,
Let me be with you hold you and just be there,
Let me see your smile, let me feel it a while.
Let me touch you, sitting on my lap, let me make you laugh,
Let me be your Cow, my suckling Calf,
Let me hear you moan, let me make you gasp,
Feel your fingers in my back, feel you clasp.
Lets drink espresso at midnight and caress till dawn,
And go on and on and on and on...

I don't know, rg - I see the peace you have in acceptance here, the tragedy for everyone you'd leave behind, perhaps - but not for you.

Hello Patrick,
You're absolutely right about that! They aren't and I shouldn't really use the word Haiku for them. It was just the syllable structure that erupted that way, and then I decided to bully them into it. *smile* I'm not much of a poet, but English has very limited formats as to how things are expressed. The ideas would get lost in a short story, it really isn't meaty enough, plus I knew that I'd lose the abstraction if I tried to fill it out. So here it sits...as something short and vaguely resembling poetry. But it's not.

They're not haiku in the Japanese sense - not in any sense that they would recognize.

But on they're own terms, they're very good, movingly suggestive and very erotic. I'm going to be reviewing some erotic haiku collections (three books) and I'll be sure to mention you and yours.

A truly remarkable gift. Such powerful emotion and lyrical, metered imagery. Poignant and beautiful...

Thank you!

Such patience, to measure out such depth and intensity so carefully. ("Nothing stirs but stars" is perfect in haiku.) Beautiful, Rgrl.

I don't know how you do it. I finished reading 37'2 Le matin (Betty Blue) a week or so ago, and it you've captured the exact same mix of darkness, eroticism, vulnerability and desperation...and overwhelming sadness.
