Podcasted: The Waiting Room, Chapter 1

“…It was the noise that woke her. Not the insects or pinging, but a sound that was utterly out of place in the environment–the stuttered rip of a zipper. She opened her eyes to see him looking at her again but, this time, he didn’t look away. His face was unreadable as she watched him push a hand inside his open jeans, free a semi-erect cock, and begin slowly and casually to stroke it…”

This is a reading of chapter one of the novel The Waiting Room, now available at Republica Press as an e-book, or will be available shortly from Amazon.com in a Kindle Version.

Your voice is wonderful and you do a great job reading your own writing. Some authors are terrible at that!

You have a beautifull, lush, compelling voice, RG. I was pleased just to listen to it, not to mention the material itself. Your live, breathing, slightly husky voice adds a dimension to the story that invades the skin. Very well done.

I’ve just downloaded, but have yet to sample your recorded stories. I look forward to hearing you read your own work to me, perhaps in some inappropriately public place. I wonder if anyone will suspect the sorts of things being whispered to me…

beautiful, as I’m sure you know, but I feel that your writing stands out from others due to your gorgeous portrayal of people and their feelings. I read this story a while or so ago, and I have enjoyed it even more read at your pace – with your intonations on the words you felt were important. Wonderful.
