Veiled Girl With Lute – Audio Version Reposted

As the publishing restrictions on this long short story have expired, I’ve re-uploaded the audio version of this tale. Please be warned: this is erotic fiction, not romance. The story deals with not only mature but transgressive subjects, including non-consent and violence. Like all transgressive literature, it is morally ambiguous; specifically, the story eroticises torture – which is absolutely reprehensible. It’s entirely natural that you should be morally offended, as long as you keep in mind that this is fiction, and intentionally examines a transgressive theme within the bounds of fiction.

Thanks so much for posting this story, RG. It was completely engaging and as complex and erotic as I expect from one of your pieces. I also loved the sumptuous voice of the reader.

  2. Hi RG, just started to listen to these. This assertion: “intentionally examines a transgressive theme”, interests me. Writing stories isn’t like writing essays; but you use the language of the essayist to descibe your story. It what sense can a story really “examine” a theme? Let’s say an author were to write “erotic fiction” about the rape of 6 year old girl by her father. Could the author justifiably write that he or she were “examining” the theme of pedophilia and incest? The question isn’t loaded. I could as easily direct the question to my own writing, but I’m interested in your viewpoint. Are all stories an “examination” of their given theme, or do you mean something different and specific? Perhaps what I’m asking: How does the erotic writer “examine” a theme and how does a writer fail to do so?

Good to see you posting audio again. I’ve got them in my podcatcher.

  4. This took me beyond my comfort level in a few ways. I really like reading and words ( which of course is why your site is so interesting-your writing ability) so I thought I would listen to a few minutes and be bored. Which did not happen. The reader’s voice was essential and brought the story to life along with the writing. TU for the interesting stories which transport you to a different reality .

  5. Just a further comment after listening to the presentations a few more times, which is an enjoyable but no mean feat lol. I’ve never heard such a subtle yet nuanced verbal reading presentation – the reader – I believe “Brave Mouth” has numerous general inflections – one for being the narrator, another for Jenny and about three more for nathaniel – a. public school professional nathaniel,b. nathaniel from the hood about to get mad and c. Nathaniel the torture jerk/erotic encounter and then there is a d. Nathaniel the nice gentle guy.

  6. The website is saying your posts are not there. I enjoy you erotica and want to hear these tails. Where else might i find them?
