I wanted to let you know why I’ve been pretty quiet the last week or so. I’ve been putting the finishing touches on a group blog called Publish and Be Damned. It’s a blog about erotica – writing it, reading it, loving it. It also aims to provide a resource for people who are just starting out as erotic fiction writers. The writers represent a very wide range of writing styles and erotica sub-genres. Everything from erotic romance, to paranormal, to gritty, raunchy BDSM. A lot of them are writers you may have heard of, or have already read: Dirtyboy, Dreamer, Eve McFadden, Louis Friend, Monocle and Wendy Stone. And me, of course. We hope that the broad scope of our experiences will make for lively debate and entertaining reading. Whether you are a reader or a writer, please feel free to join in the discussion through the comments and let us know what you think. Publish and Be Damned is at http://www.pubandbedamned.com

One of my favourite erotica writers and the first person to ever accept one of my stories for publication is M. Christian (blogs at Frequently Felt). I wanted to bring your attention to his Coming Together Anthology which was published a few weeks before mine. It really does represent his incredible writing range: From hot and horny tales of zipless fucks in a gas station, to heartrendingly poignant m/m love stories, his ability to pen to the core of the matter is astounding. Coming Together Presents: M. Christian offers an assortment of vintage and previously-unpublished tales by the astoundingly versatile smut-master M. Christian. The stories range from the leather bars of San Francisco to the deserts of Mars, while the characters include rock-and-rollers, dykes with attitude, horny office workers, tortured artists, inter-galactic lawyers, even Mona Lisa. The atmosphere is tough and gritty in one tale, lyrical in the next, and teasingly tongue-in-cheek in a third. M. Christian’s erotica incorporates an expansive view of sexuality. His characters are not prisoners of their labels. They grow and change in the course of the story, and that change might involve crossing the artificial lines between straight and gay, femme and butch, dominant and [...]
