There are few people I can point to and honestly say: ‘This person taught me how to write”.

There is a good chance that you haven’t heard of Robert Buckley and, if you enjoy good erotic writing, that’s a damn shame because Bob is a masterful erotic writer with a voice like no one else. I met Robert on the Erotica Readers and Writers Association’s email list. From my first week on the list he, along with a few others, quickly became the model story-tellers to me.

He has an almost unimpeachable sense of story in time. He can set the reader down in his fictional world faster and more thoroughly than any one I know. Whether it’s an abandoned haunted asylum or on a battlefield in the Civil War, Bob can get you there like no one else.

When he writes sex, he writes it with a humanity and a poignancy that are breathtaking. He never lets you forget that his characters are far more than meat puppets in a fuck scene. In the great debate over the line between erotica and porn, a writer like Robert Buckley has produced story after story that tangibly illustrate exactly where the line is and how wide.

I could also acknowledge that this book, like all the other Coming Together books, published by Alessia Brio and edited by Lisabet Sarai, raises funds for a good cause. In this case, all the profits for the book go to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. But it doesn’t actually matter. You should buy this book because you are going to get one stunningly written story after another. I just can’t recommend it highly enough.
