  1. At app. age 45 I had the brilliant enlightenment: that I was stupid. This finally explained to me why despite my islands of genius, that I was generally an ocean of stupidity. Seeing why my life was generally in shambles and it had always seemed I failed to learn lessons others achieved easily I rethought my approach.

  2. I’m so glad you agreed with me. I’m so glad you noticed, and hated, as much as I did. I went through three definite stages as I flipped through the STUPID campaigh material. I might actually have to Write A Proper Blog Post about it! Shit. It’s so much harder when it’s not just on livejournal, where I know no-one will read it.

Me resolution, however, for this year was to Document Fearlessly, and this is a perfect chance to, well. Be ‘STUPID’ and have ‘THE BALLS’.

  3. A brilliant campaign? I dunno…. kind of like they knocked off the Nike “just do it” campaign, only without its cleverness. Don’t think, just do. I kind of like the OED’s version of stupid: “uninteresting or boring.” Yep.

Well done, rg! I couldn’t agree more. Especially the part about the stupid factor that drops two hundred bucks on a label.
