Because I love you hold me tight close my eyes take me down.
Don’t warn me how deep the drop how dark the depths how thin the rope.
Trust in me to know these things and have chosen not to choose.
If you want me jack me in pull the cord make the cut.
If you love me don’t betray me with hesitation, take me down.

Excellent. It has taken me to the root of you where I have found a serious passionate heart. Actually, I madly love poems.
Whenever I read a poem I feel I am alive; have a heart which is beating.
In Bengali, there are lines like:
Persons who doesn’t know how to love poems remain slave forever.
I thank you for sharing me such a great work. Applause.
This doesn’t sound like you… but in a good way. Rather, it seems like a side of you we don’t see very much. Beautiful and sensual though, and poignant as always.
I love the juxtaposition of the lines and the rhythm of the staccato sentencing. I took a moment to read it out loud . The poem has an emotional quality too it that I can’t quite pin down in my head but I like it. I’ve felt it and the poetry brings back echoes of remembrance . Kudos. I found your blog clicking links on Tutivillus’ blog. Glad I took the random chance. You seem very well spoken and creative.
I love this poem for it’s brevity, rhythm, intelligence and articulation of the submissive quality of love. I adore the “depths” of passion so this mirrored beautifully that which is rarely spoken between lovers but unconsciously acted out. At least, in my opinion.
I don’t know if you’ve ever seen it but this poem reminds me of the book Damage by Josephine Hart. I know talent when I see it :).

I like the way you put your words together in this one.
